Joystick or headset or something else?

So I have this $100 gift card for FutreShop, and some other birthday/grad moneyz (so I don't have to buy it at Futureshop, though that would be easier).

I am considering getting a joystick.
A few questions;

What should I look for in a joystick?
How much is a decent/good joystick?
How many and what are (some) good games actually need/can use a joystick?

I don't have any games that I can think of which need a joystick AFAIK.

If not a joystick, I might get a headset (microphone anyways), which leads to the questions;

What should be looked for in a good mic/headset?

And, in case I decide not to go with the above two options, I'll end up spending the card on games and movies. Feel free to suggest something else.

EDIT: Or, quite likely, I'd really like to get a Logitech G15. (except that it's $138 at Futureshop, which seems a bit high.

Or that other backlit keyboard with the game pad thing on the left side. I forget what it's called.

I have no recommendations on specific designs, but I will say that the headset has come in more handy for me - mainly for online purposes, in which I can speak to a friend through, say, Skype, during games against each other or even just in general. Is most handy.

A joystick is a good thing for specific games - particularly simulators. But I haven't needed it much except for a couple of games, and to be honest both the devices I have I bought for cheap - around £20 each, and they've been working great for a year.

I am definately going to get a G15, but not at Futureshop sicne it's cheaper elsewhere (like NCIX). That'll get mostly payed for by one of my parents. (well, I still have to discuss it but it should work out)

Still undecided about a joystick.

EDIT:

Yay the G15 is a go, just need to figure out where to buy it from.

Still interested in a joystick though.

Alright, try the X52 if you're interested in things requiring flying.

I'd seriously think long and hard about what game you are planning to use the joyustick for. I've had one for years and haven't used it in years. Unless you are into flight sims, games just don't support them anymore.

If you are playing online a good headset is a must. Beats typing by a mile.
