I just wanted to say THANK YOU to Kael and his team. Civ 4 was good, Civ 4 BTS was awesome, and then I discovered your project and found out that I was lacking the right adjective to qualify FfH. And I am not even that much into Fantasy usually. [e.g. I am the kind of weird person who liked "Silent Hunter IV"]

Nothing more, no "by the way, a suggestion", or "Hey, I noticed a bug" (I ll keep this for other threads". Just my DEEP, WARM thanks.

Now, I ll contribute to the forum.

I am having an awesome game, no best game ever. FFH was designed really, really well. It feels like as I am playing, I am playing a scripted RPG, amazing it is just a bunch of random/weighted events.

Finally, I feel something has surpassed Master of Magic, and brings back memories of Baldurs Gate.

I'm with you. I tried really hard to like Homm5 and there are some aspects of it I really enjoyed. But the horrid performance, awful maps, and unusable map editor made me give it up. I have the new Kings Bounty on order since many people tell me it has the oldtime Homm feel to it.

If the hex-based, stack based combat system with uninvolved heroes flinging spells is what you liked about HoMM, you'll love KB:L. If building up cities and fighting wars with distinct enemy factions is what you enjoyed, it's gonna suck to be you
