This is a Map for a hopefully future Mod. Based on the incredible Ringworld by Larry Niven. I recommend playing in King mode. It's one long valley, that makes a full circle. A Very, Very Long Circle. You'll need to make some quirks to make it work best, as detailed in included readme file. PTW Map.

This map uses X and Y wrapping, and a rectangular map to produce a diagonal stripe that makes a complete circle. See attatched photo.

This is an interesting map, I had the same idea only, not ringworld.
Could you tell me what size the map is?

It's really really big, I'm not sure of the exact size, but it's just under huge, and a rectangle. Having one side smaller than the other, makes the x/y wrapping creat a super loop.

I don't know much about Lary Niven's ring world could you tell me alittle more? Like in this world R the chericters suposed to walk lengthwise along the circle, or can they cross the edge or the mountain's (I'm assuming the mountain's are an edge) let me know man.
I just now downloaded this map I'll look it over better when I get time.

Ringworld is an artificial world, it's a ribbon of material, a million miles wide, encircling a star, along roughly the orbit of earth. along the edge are giant walls 10 thousand miles high, that hold the atmosphere in. It has 2 great oceans on opposite sides of the ring to help keep it ballanced. to provide day and night there are giant sun shades, that orbit closer to the sun, and create shadowed blocks across the surface of ringworld.

When setting up this map, you will want to make mountains impassable, and make sure that you change the recources that are normally found on mountains to other terrain. All movement will be up and down the big 'valley' formed by the mountains. the mountains are 3 squares wide to provide protection from your city boundaries from crossing it, and your workers going off on wild goose chases to improve the terrain on the other side of the great barrier.

I'll do some resource tweeking later, and fix the need for do it yourself stuff.
