OK, am I missing something here? The new leader screens seem over done with too much useless information and is missing some key elements. in Civ 5 you could tell at a glance what trades/agreements are in place and how much longer they have to expiration. I can't find that here, am I missing something? Do you still get penalized for declaring war if open borders and or trades are still active? Do they still expire in 30 turns?

Thanks!

And what about trade routes? If there is an active trade route with the civ I declare war on will that have negative impact on my "grievances" if the trade route hasn't completed?

You can see the resources you traded and how long they will last on the report screen. It's that button on the top right:

The report screen is quite bad though and have a serious lack of info and options to organize, so I recommend using this mod. If you use it, you gonna have a screen where you can see all your deals in the order they will expire, similar to Civ V, among other useful features. There's another screen that is part of the game called "resources", where you can see which leaders own which resources and how many copies they own. It's quite useful if you're looking to make a deal, like sell one of your luxuries, for example.

You don't get any penalty if you declare war with open borders and trade deals active, they are cancelled when you declare war without any consequence. Same for trade routes, there's no penalties. They are cancelled and show up back on your cities, ready to be sent somewhere else.

Yes, tell me about it. Civ 6 has "user" interface, which is clearly not intended for users. Pieces of vital information hidden and scattered around in the sea of irrelevant data, or just missing.

You can also use Concise UI mod, which was recently updated for September patch and is compatible with Better Reports screen mod, recommended in the post above. CUI is modular and in the description you can read how to deactivate modules you might not like. For me, the biggest blessing of CUI is the diplomacy deal screen - it saves you immeasurable amounts of time and hassle when you make trade deals with the AI.
