LeaderHead Video cause LAG... i need static leader head

I'm not sure if the motherboard is called Dell Dimension 4600 or if I can't find the name. I believe the motherboard is called Dell Dimension 4600 and I just can't find the drivers but maybe I've got the wrong name which is why I can't find the drivers.

Its not just nforce boards though - mine is an intel s478 and updating my MB drivers fixed it for me as well.

Same problem here, but no motherboard updates available.

Does anyone now, what

in civilization4.ini does change?

Dell uses their own make of motherboards, you'll have to download the chipset drivers from them. Saw this on dell forums, should hopefully get you what you need, hope it works!

Enter you Service Tag and it will
identify and take you to the correct one. Select Chipset
and use the Utility to install the latest and correct Chipset.

It seems like they use an intel chipset so from what insectile is saying this should help you guys out too. If you use that link and enter your service tag (whatever that is), then it should take you straight to what you need.

Thanks, Gazaridis. I downloaded the drivers for the intel chipset but unfortunately it didn't seem to reduce the incredibly slow game play. Thank you again for the link though.

I also have an Asus MB, a P4P800. And the same was happening for me, every time a leader came on it got slower and slower until I quit the game. Coming back in would make it be fine (more or less) until another leader came on.

I downloaded the Intel Chipset update utility from the Asus page (version 5.0.2.1003) and ran it. I just went into one of the games that was a problem for me and one by one spoke to every leader in the game, and the game was still playable after I had talked to all of them. I think that might have done it!

Again, Ditto Nothingman. Dell motherboard drivers didn't seem to do anything at all. Check that - they seemed to make it worse somehow.

It's an Intel chip, but I couldn't figure out which Intel driver it was supposed to use... figured maybe Intel would have a better chipset than Dell. This is phenomenally irritating.
