Lest We Forget- Anzac Day

Yeah cos sending our men off to fight in what was essentially a European war was such a great idea:rolleyes:

If WW1 happened in 2015 instead of 1915 I doubt we would mobilise again to that lvel if at all. Sort your own rubbish out.
So, what's with all that "lest we forget" crap then?

It's called respecting your ancestors, who fought on your nations' behalf. You do understand respect, don't you?

Look at it this way. Australia and New Zealand didn't surrender unlike say the Netherlands for example:lol:

the netherlands never really surrendered completely, dutch colonial forces were still fighting from java after the netherlands itself fell, and there were dutch submarines based in freemantle after java fell

Not funny. They bombed Rotterdam to shreds and were threatening to bomb our other big cities. It's one thing to have your army fight out a war but when the citizens are going to be targeted and you can't defend those, the whole purpose of fighting is lost.

.. and all those soldiers that fought in WW1 and WW2 have my respect. I can't imagine what hell all these brave men and women must have gone through during those years.
