I plan to work on some of these myself in the near future, but if somebody more talented happens to see these and wants to make something of them I'd be more than happy with it (just let me know!)

The Monster Kingdom
Leader: ASGORE

Based on recent smash indie hit UNDERTALE. As ASGORE is a cowardly king, he relies on deterrence - keeping the enemy from daring to approach, as actual war is potentially devastating to him.

His cities have immensely uncreative names - his capital is Home, and other cities include things like Newtown and Settled. He also has a short list, so he'll start getting into the "New"s quickly if you decide to go for horizontal growth. Our king is not good at names. His spies are named after various typefaces.

UA: Bergentrückung
No maintenance on military units during peacetime. During war, maintenance for all military units doubled. Cannot build post-Industrial Production-increasing buildings (Factories, Hydro Plants, Nuclear Plants, Solar Plants, or Spaceship Factories).

UU: Royal Guard
Replaces Spearman. Weaker than the unit it replaces, but increases Happiness in nearby cities. Have a high upkeep, though that only applies during war due to the UA.

UB: The CORE
Replaces Factory. +200% Production. Counts as a National Wonder, so only one can be built.

Duketopia
Leader: Duke Nukem

Hail to the king, baby! Duke's back, and this time he's got a whole nation behind him. Duke doesn't just win, he wins with style. His special resource, Ego, is gained through various acts of grandstanding, and the more of it he has, the more effective his military is. Using him effectively is risky, but if you've got balls of steel he'll blast everybody else off the map - and look damn good doing it, too.

His cities are named with various "Duke" puns such as "Duketopolis" and "Duke York". Spies are given "playboy bunny" names like Candy and Sweetheart.

UA: Damn, I'm Looking Good!
Gain Ego through grandstanding. (Examples: Attacking enemies with much weaker units, sending civilians or Great People near enemy units, making demands of both other players and city-states, declaring war on a player with a stronger military than you.) Ego is lost each turn, but accumulated Ego gives combat bonuses to all units.

I haven't been able to come up with good UUs or UBs yet, unfortunately.

Avalon
Leader: Gerard

Coming from obscure untranslated Japan-only RPG Romancing SaGa 2, Avalon is a natural fit for Civ - the original game focused on traveling the world, defeating evils and righting wrongs over the course of centuries while expanding your nation from a tiny kingdom on a peninsula to a continent-spanning empire. In Civ, Avalon is an odd duck - they can't build Settlers or annex cities, but allied City-States are treated as part of the empire to a much deeper degree than for other civs. They can also use UUs of empires they've declared friendship with. I fully expect to make this one myself, as few other Westerners have played RSG2, but I'm posting it here anyway for feedback and suggestions.

Spies are named after the City Thieves from RSG2 - named for various small animals such as Cat, Sparrow, and Badger.

UA: Empire City
Cannot build Settlers or annex cities. Get +20 Gold each turn for each allied city-state. Allied city-state territory is treated as friendly territory. Can build Unique Units of empires you have a Declaration of Friendship with.

UB: University of Avalon
Replaces Oxford University. Can only be built in the Capital. Only gives +2 Science and 1 Great Writing slot, but also increases Production for military units.

UGP: Emperor
Replaces Great General. In addition to the standard GG effects, Emperors fight as melee units roughly on par with Longswordsmen, making them very powerful early on but proportionally weaker and weaker as the game goes on.
