Hi this may be a dumb question but can you create Liches if you are good (nothing in the civpedia says no and you can cast other death spells) or is it some religion/civilisation thing that is stopping me?

I am playing the Kuriotates and have Emptrean as a religion, I have invested in a number of death nodes so not getting liches would invalidate a major push I was going for.

Thanks if anyone can clarify.

The only problem I can see using death mana while Good is if the Overcouncil bans it. Otherwise there are no hard restrictions on it's use. And even if death mana does get banned, any units with Death 1 or higher can still get full benefits including Lichdom; you just won't be able to train new adepts in death magic.

Patch "h": (unreleased)
1. Added the ability to randomize goody huts in scenarios.
2. Fixed an isNone() python error with the Roar spell.
3. Fixed an error in the Lichdom spell.
4. Fixed a python error in the Ascension ritual.
5. Fixed a python error in the Inquisition spell.

There was a typo in the code. You may want to use worldbuilder to replace your archmage with a lich with the same promotions, as I think you should be able to get them if not for the error.
