Load saved games: no effect?

My game crashed so I tried to reload the autosave files, but nothing happens after I select the save file, either from the main menu or in game. No error, just nothing happens. What gives? Are the corrupted?

EDIT: it's even worse. I try to save a game and it gives no error, but the save file is not generated!

It seems the game cannot handle unicode well. If the folder name is not English (or similar languages) it shows empty folder name and save files can't be accessed.
