Hello! I'm trying to run Vanilla Civ IV. I installed in about 3 weeks ago and it worked fine for 2 1/2 weeks and then suddenly won't load.
I start loading it. I get the loading screen and then a white box with a bar and it starts loading different things. It always gets to "Check XML" Stops and a popup says 'Sid Meier's Civilization 4 has stopped working'. I've been browsing this site since last night doing everything that I could find to try to fix it. I updated Windows (Vista), I updated my sound and video driver, I went into the language and did the period and comma.
I *thought* I was fairly computer saavy but I guess not. I just don't understand why it would work for 2 weeks and then stop working.
