Loading Civ 4 sans Steam

I purchased the Mac version of Civ4 and BTS (Civ 4 complete) through Steam. Is there a way I can play the game without loading Steam first? Say play Civ 4 like I installed it from the box?

Yes, you tell steam to use offline mode.

In steam, select Steam>Go Offline from the menu.
