Loading Problems

Tried to load up Civ IV and I think there's a problem. There are no border lines and the surrounding areas are all black and darkened. Is this right?

The visiting civ reps are not complete and all I can see is the eyes and mouth. CD Rom and mem space are all sufficient and have the correct processor. Any help is appreciated.

If your still having the problem after installing patch post the specs for your pc please.
