Loading Ships

Okay...this is a completely idiotic question, but HOW do you load ships? I can't figure it out...my ships do not have a Load command...

Just move units onto them, or, if they are in a city, select the unit and hit that you want to load onto the ship and hit the "L" button. Note: some ships can't carry units (eg. curraghs, frigates etc).

How about Galleys? Can they?

Galleys can. Just look in the civilopedia.

(At least I think they can. )

Yes, just right click units in the build selection units to check the help listing to see what a unit has.

A galley can hold two units, but a curraugh cannot load units.

I've never played the Byzantines and was surprised last night to learn that Dromons can carry 2 passengers. That makes them a LOT more threatening both to your own galleys and for a possible land attack when they start cruising your coastal tiles. It's the first time I've come across them in a game.

I kinda thought that would be obvious, as Dromons replace Galleys...???
