Loading time

On my Surface Pro 2 (i5-4300u, 4gb RAM, HD4400), it takes well over a minute for the game to load to the main menu (after skipping the intro movie). In comparison, Civ V (DX 11 executable) loads a lot faster. The game works just fine after the slow loading.

Is this normal? What loading times are you encountering on similar hardware?

I was able to test the game on a Surface Pro 3 (similar hardware with the Surface Pro 2) and the loading times are identical.

It seems the ulv intel i5 and its video card are taxed a lot harder by Civ BE compared with Civ V.
