Okay so earlier today my comp crashed and when it loaded it up it said it couldn't find the files for my login name(all the personalized stuff like my documents, internet bookmarks and the likes) so it makes a temp file. I couldn't log back in as my former self, I may of been log in under my name but it always used the temp file. Got around this little problem by copying and pasting a few of the stuff, but I lost my wallpaper and a couple of internet options.


Can anyone clue me as to what the hell happend here with my comp and why it did that? Oh and what the heck is the command to get rid of that internet easy access/fill in the sentance thingy in the Address bar, ya know you type www.m, and you'll get a couple of choices from that like www.msn.com, or www.mall.com basically any website you've been to thats address starts with www.m

I'm not sure, but maybe you can turn off the history, so that it doesn't store where you've visited before. Works in Firefox I think...

Well... stuff like these happen. Without direct access to your computer, finding the cause of the problem would be difficult.

So just make a new account for yourself and move on?

I really hate that option

Specific instructions depends on which browser you're using. But both IE and FireFox have option to set how many days should they keep the URL history, as well as a button to clear the URL history.

I had to do a chrome hack in Firefox to completely remove that annoying feature.

Tools --> Internet Options --> Advanced --> Use Inline AutoComplete
