Looking for a teaching thread

Hi,

When I was here yesterday I found a thread that was showing/teaching how to use diplomacy and trade in the higher levels of the game. The thread was started in March of this year and I would look for it myself but I can't even remember exactly what Civ III forum it was in! I started to read throught it but only got 10 of the appox 123 pages in. I can't seem to figure out how to even start searching for this thread 'cause I can't even remember what it was called. Can someone please help me find it and I promise, this time I'll bookmark it!

It's in the Quick Games sub-forum of the Game of the Month forum. The various forums and sub-forums do get confusing at times,

GK2 - The Training Day Experiment

It's a training day game on Monarch as the Iroquois, with lots of great 'tutorials' inside the thread. It's currently at 123 pages, and they are only at the end of the Middle Ages.

Ah! The infamous GK2, I missed the reference to 123 pages (I'd only just got up), the one I linked to is just a small trading exercise.

Have they only played one game throughout that? I thought there was more than one map. I did one of the mini exercises, and then checked the thread where it is now and the map looked different.

Hey thanks Ginger_Ale, that's the one I was looking for! It's going straight in the bookmarks folder. I spent an hour the other day looking for it before admitting defeat.

Does anyone know how I can jump straight to a page in a thread without having to go through all the other pages first? Or should I just bookmark the page I'm up to and start from there.

If you click a page number in the URL, it'll go up in the address bar. You can then enter a new page number manually where say, page two is.

Example: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=81351&page=2&pp=20 -- this is page 2

http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=81351&page=100&pp=20 -- this is page 100
