I'm looking for a good trade route mod. Something similar to vanilla or FreeCol that has user created named trade routes with minimum and maximum values for goods. I've spent a good 30 mins searching for one but have been unable to find one.
I think the closest thing you get would be feeder service in Religion and Revolution and Medieval Conquest. It's an on/off switch and when it's on it goes:
if importing and storage greater than threshold => stop import
if not importing and storage less than 75% of threshold => start import
if storage is between 75% and 100% of threshold => do nothing
The version in M:C has more updates. It will always import to ensure the minimum yields required by building construction, even if it is higher than your manually set threshold. Needless to say this is only done if feeder service is enabled.
The on/off switch is in the import/export screen. It's the third button, the one without text (I couldn't get any text to fit).
That is for minimum and maximum. For the user created list, it is RaR. However min and max is the same in this case and it is quite a lot of micromanagement. Feeder service is for fully automated transports. You can mix those two, but I'm not sure it will provide an optimal usage of the transports.
There is also a rather old traderoute mod. However I'm not going to dig it up now as it really is old. It's also closed source meaning nobody copied the concept and it is close to being a ModComp as it changes nothing but trade.
