I was wondering if anyone has the link to a good Lord Of The Rings scenario? I've looked around the internet but I can't find a good one that works properly.

There are several LOTR scenarios by different authors, inlcuding an old one by Harlan Thompson (lots of fun IMO) and a trilogy by FavFly. The ones by FavFly work properly only with FW, I think, but the graphics are great. I am pretty sure there are even more LOTR scens than these... some intended for PBEM's etc.

If you haven't looked through the CFC Fantasy Scenario collection yet, try that. Also, try the Spanish Civ2 site hosted by Apolyton. Otherwise, tell us the designer's name, and which edition of civ2 you play, and maybe somebody can help.

I tried looking through the website here but only one was compatible with my game(and that only worked with Gondor). I play the original Civ II with no add-ons

I followed Wobbegon's link to the CFC fantasy collection:

A few years ago, when scenarios got reviews, Harlan's LOTR got the highest marks, and I recommend it highly. It is rather challenging, as it should be. I think it was written for the original Civ2, so you should be able to run it OK.

You can't play "proper" scenarios using vanilla Civ2. Most require at least Fantastic Worlds (FW) to play.

Unfortunately none of the links I provided host the latest version (4.1). I had a bugger of a time trying to find it, but eventually unearthed it at Mercator's site.

BTW, there was supposed to be another version - I was working on it with Harlan back in 1999. However, once he got hold of ToT he totally lost interest in the FW version and it never got finished.
