Madden used to be my favorite game, and I especially loved the franchise mode. Every year I used to get the new version and play it to death; loads of fun. Then they changed the franchise mode so that you couldn't use custom playbooks there, and I lost interest. So I haven't bought it for the last five years, but I'd like to, so I have a couple of questions for those of you who have. Does Madden 09 allow custom playbooks in franchise mode? And if it does, which is the better system to get for it, 360 or PS III? Thanks in advance.

This should go in the gaming, but I have it but i haven't done franchise yet. If you get Head Coach 09(you can get them both for 90 USD in a collectors edition) you can import the plays you made in HC to Madden. Since I haven't done franchise yet, I don't know if you need HC to have custom plays, however, it is possible to make your own plays.
Sorry about the wrong forum; my bad. Making plays and custom playbooks is fun, but the problem is that they made the game so that the custom playbook option didn't work in franchise mode. Since most of my games were in franchise mode, custom playbooks became moot and the default playbooks sucked and none of them reflected my playing style, so I stopped buying.
