Make civs more unique

The creators should improve the feel of the game when you play as each civilization, and playing as each civilization should feel vastly different. The civ traits should be kept because they make the game slightly different for each side. There should be alternate art for all cities and units for each civilization. That doesn't mean that I think there should be more UU's, just a different 'flavour'. The interface could be 'tarted up' and variations added for the graphics used by each civilization.
 
perhaps have this 'interface' thing by cultural blocks rather than each civ to be realistic ... perhaps make the traits even more pronounced, and more trait types ... this would make each civ feel very different ...

eg, split militaristic into warlike and aggresive

warlike means they love battles, so keep the stats as is, but also have some slight unhappiness when not at war

aggresive means the civ likes all sort of competition, so stats are a bit different (perhaps change barrack cheapness for some sort of trade bonus), but also have other disadvantages like other civs react less well
 
i agree wholehardily. At least have a eastern western southern northern flavor and group civs into these camps- so scandanavia and germany have a northern look to them , china japan eastern ect. and add canada , australia and brazil, ..they are huge countries and influence the world today in a larger way then the Hittites. and add assyria too by the way...
 
I thank you for saying that Aust has a role on the world stage, I bet our prime minister would love to hear that, but the truth is, we don't (and maybe that is a good thing at the moment)

Civ has always had a new vs old civ problem, I mean, the US starting in 4000bc???? oh dear ...
