Make deal -- fatal bug

This bug is systematic, and makes it essentially impossible to play Civ 6.
When I open for the first time the "Make Deal" menu, I get what's shown on the screenshot. Whether I click on accept or demand makes no difference, after that the make deal section remains completely empty for the rest of the game.
I'm playing on linux, Australian summer update, v 1.0.0.110 (146422)

I've got the same issue. No problems in the previous 100+ hours until early this morning.
Updated steam, linux (arch) and rebooted. Still have the issue. Also disabled all additional content, but no dice.
