Making better maps?

What do you like to see in a map?

I personally like very large maps ... what size do you like?

I like to see resouces that are obviously displayed. Coal in a mountain is easy to miss.

The smaller the map, the less cities you have to bother with.
I like tiny, small and standard maps.
And Archipelagoes or Continents to go with that.

I like huge maps.
And I also like minimap-boni like seeing a smiley or the firaxislogo or a fish because of the landscape.

Attention:
For those of you who have map requests (for me)...,
for the time, you can post your request in this thread. :jump:
I consider all requests for C3C maps but make no promises as to time frame because of my unpredictable time availablity.
I need to know general issues such as:
a) - game grid size
b) - # of civs (6-21)
c) - general terrain preference and age
d) - if desired - name of map.
**Please note**, I do not at this time make maps of a historical nature nor country or world maps. There are others who do this much better than I.
