I've encountered some bugs in the map editor and I'm wondering if there are any solutions. I'm running a patched version on Windows XP that doesn't have any game-play bugs (any more than usual anyway!):
1. Often if I create a map and save it, when I reload to edit some more the ocean level rises dramatically, undoing a lot of nice coastal work!
2. I really love the 3-D aspect of the maps, though I'm pretty annoyed with "flat land" not actually being that flat (10-810m) apparently at random. In trying to create river valleys my rivers go visually uphill in places, and sometimes don't continue down constructed valleys because of unusually high elevations that I can't get rid of.
I'm pretty sure this is just mechanics of the game, but if there are ways to create nice elevation-logical river valleys I'd love to hear it.
3. In placing rivers (particularly on dry slopes I've noticed) I sometimes get an increase in elevation at the same time... I'm pretty sure this is a bug, but I'm not sure how to fix it.
Thanks for your help
