Hey, I just have some questions about building maps..
Is it possible to make/remake a map without entering a game and going into a World Builder?
This is because, if I go playing I have to choose a Nation and a Leader, make a map, save it, and when I want to play it (starting a new game) I have to choose one of those leaders that were in the game when the map was being made. So I actually make a scenario then:S

You're right, you have to save it as a scenario. Then you can change leaders.

oh, I have to save it as a scenario....
but do I have to erase all nations units and buildings? or are they not saved when I save the map as a scenario?

tnx for welcoming me :)

You can edit a map, not a saved game file, with any text editor, such as notepad. Go to the tutorials forum in the main Civ4 forum and you will find the information.

You can edit the leaders available to each player, and just about anything else. You can edit any plot and change the terrain, put a city, units, buildings, etc. Look at Ozzy's Americas map using notepad to get some ideas.

Note, this is not the easiest thing to do and can be a little tedious. Any little mistake will blow up the whole map. Be sure to save a copy and work on the copy. Good luck!
