This is a map of Mossflower from Brian Jacques's Redwall series. It is 100x100, and mostly forest and plains. For this reason, the follwing changes have been made to the forest terrain:

F/S/C: 2/1/0
Movement Cost: 1
Defense Bonus: 15

***VERSION 1.01***

Ahhh... now that I have time I have made a small but necessary change. The map now works with up to 12 civs, all with fixed starting locations. Before, I'd end up with a random position directly below a barb camp...arggg. Well, all better now.
Once I get the appropriate maps, I will add the islands of Lutra and land from the Bellmaker to the map.

ENJOY!!!

Another Redwall fan!:goodjob: Thanks a lot m8! I have all the Redwall books, so this means a lot to me... Lets see now, which civ is best here?

Eirk Mesoy - Can you do me a HUGE favor - scan all cthe maps from all the books (or at least pearls of lutra and bellmaker ;))? I would be forever grateful, plus it would mean the release of a much much better, more detailed, bigger Redwall map! PLEASE. I beseech you!

If possible, send them to zigmund-booty@cfl.rr.com.
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

ps - how do you like it?

This would be a great mod. Imagine having to counter a vermin uprising, or trying to take it to Cluny>

Could you please post like a summary of what Redwall is, for those of us (like me) who really have no clue? It would be a big help in understanding what your map is from.

Redwall is a series of fifteen or so novels written by Brian Jacques since 1986. It's about many animals, good vs. evil, in a Medieval world. Redwall is an abbey where mice, moles, badgers, voles, hedgehogs, sparrows, etc live protectively. In most books Redwall is attacked by bad creatures. He has written several books when they venture around Mossflower Country or in other places.

There good-sized books, around 400 pages each. They're full of battling, killing, venturing, etc. They're for young adults but are very descriptive because he wrote them for blind children in a school in Liverpool. Check one out. The official Redwall series/saga website is http://redwall.org.

I could make a good Redwall scenario if somebody made Redwall units:

Build Units:
Mouse settlers
Mole workers

Infantry Units:
Mouse warriors
Mole slingers
Squirrel archers
Otter javelinmen
Hare pikemen
Badger axemen
Shrew warriors
Weasel warriors
Stoat warriors
Stoat corsairs
Ferret warriors
Rat corsairs
Rat warriors
Fox corsairs
Fox thieves

Artillery Units:
Ballistas
Wagons

Water Units:
Corsair vessels
Galley vessels
Seals/etc

Air Units:
Bats
Hawks/Eagles/Condors/etc
Seagulls
Pelicans

Barbarians:
Painted Ones (Savage tree-rats)
Toads/Frogs/Snakes/Salamanders/Lizards/etc

That's a good list of possible units. I guess you could add others, or even make modern units.

Heh, nice. I'm currently reading the series in chronological order- on Martin the Warrior right now.
