Alright, so I had this game called:"The Third World War" sometime ago, it was a forum game I used to run, and now I've moved it from paint to Civ III, Now, before I can let player's design their civilization, I need them to pick their starting spots on the world map(this is a fictional setting)

How would I go about taking a picture of the entire world map like you would see at the endgame? to make it big enough to see? thanks.

any by endgame, I meant to where you can see all the cities, and maybe even update it every so often?

I'm not certain if you require a picture of the end-game or not. Will a picture of the map in an editor suffice? Doing so should allow the players to pick their starting locations.

I use control/function for screenies, then paste to paint.

I was wanting to be able to update territorial claims(as we progress we colonize/conquer lands) and was hoping there was a way to update it without having to see the endgame screen.

I already have a Claims map.\

this is my claims map, currently we have

GeneralSturnn(me), Helghast
Ice Prince, Amaranthine
Bannaeatzombie, has yet to choose zone, will do so today
Brad, same as above

we have roughly 4 spots left open, they may open or close.

the X's move depending on the player's wish's.

You can use the military advisor (F3) for that - there's a bigger map there than the minimap on the playing screen.
