I used to play on small maps, so that the game wouldn't take to long to complete. But I resently discovered fun in playing larger maps. The diplomatics in large maps is much more fun than on a small map. I resently started a game on a huge map, I really do enjoy it. Except for the increase in IBT time.

played a huge earth game once, took AGES! so usually play small or tiny now. though i have been known to venture to normal now and again ;)

I played on a huge map once, and my poor old computer nearly had an aneurism - seriously, it took so long between turns that I could hit the restroom, grab a snack, fold some laundry, wax the car, and take in the latest film down at the cinerama before it came back around. So it's small/standard these days.

I play large. You have a bit of an advantage over the ai, but I like the epic feel and I like to deal with more civs than 8.

Standard. That's what the game was meant for. It's the default. It's standard, for some unbaised higher power's sake!

I play all sizes, but I prefer the larger ones. Games on tiny and small maps are over before I get very far into the tech tree, so large maps are my default...

My first game was on Huge. Now I play on a 252x252 map :) thanks to being shown how to do this with the editor on these forums. You should include more options in your poll!

Playing with 31 civs on a 252x252 map is awesome. I can never go back to Huge :)

I always play standard. Not so big that you get stuck in the expansion age forever and ever, but not so small that you can't have good diplomacy and good wars.

Standart, big enough for fun wars and diplomacy, small enough not to take forever.

O.T. Korab, are u Forgotten Battles/Pacific Fighters fan?

I always play huge, sometimes I even mod it to be bigger than huge. Its more fun that way.

I play on Standard. On occasion, I will play on huge maps when I want a little bit of a harder game.

I've never played with other than Standard size; one of these days I might try something new. :p

huge, always.
it changes the way you play this game. a game on huge map can last into modern age more likely than games on a small map and gives the player more chance to play with every toys provided by the designer of the game.
