Has anyone tried markusf's super growth strategy? Either I didn't completely understand it, or I did something wrong, but it didn't work for me. So your supposed to send all your caravans into your capital? But in the city screen of my capital, it only shows 3 trade routes, but I have like 30! Also, why would it be more effective to send it to your capital city? My capital doesn't even demand most of my comodities, and sometimes I only get 16 gold!

i believe all of your other cities get the trade routes. it also gives you a science boost of beakers equal to the amount of gold you recieved. thats why one needs to time the routes carefully so one gets the full benefit of the science boost. and also so one can maximize their gold, by fluctuating your science rate to account for your extra beakers. this is called micromanaging your science and economy. i havent tried it(havent played civ lately) but i suppose i can find the time. it will be interesting and will follow my usual mindset in stratagy.

I think I played like that once, completely by accident. I was the only tribe on my continent, so I sent all my caravans to one city, my capital, because it was so big. I had great science and cash, and at one point, when I should have had a population decrease because of lack of food, a trade route was cancelled instead of my losing a citizen.
