Mercenaries

Hi this is just a general enquiry.

Has anyone made a mod or add on to an existing mod which includes or introduces mercenaries?

Strategy Only had a mercenary mod which i never played or downloaded, however his download for that no longer exists.

Seems an obvious development and if I had the python skills Im sure id do it. Im guessing its not possible with just XML?

I've made a mercenary unit before which basically becomes a land version of the privateer. If you go into the XML files you can easily grab what you need to make one.
