Hey Guys!

This is probably covered somewhere but I could find it after some searching so.....

So I'm playing G&K which seems to take AGES to load since a recent update, and especially late game when ending the turn. So i've opted to enable Quick Attack and Quick Movement. This spends up the end turn considerably, especially the CS's load time.

However unlike Civ IV I cannot seem to find a decent Notification log to tell me what the damn is happening during war. In Civ IV I'd leave the log open and reading through there would explain who was attacked, what happened and so on.

Civ V just says what was killed in battle and what did it. It doesn't seem to mention WHO attacked it before it was killed (I.e. being bombed X amount of times before death). More annoying is units just magically get damaged with no damn notification of what attacked it or anything.

Anything I can do to get more info without turning on normal attacks and waiting 6 hours per turn to load?

Man, I hope someone shares something on here ground-breaking because even though waiting and watching what happens to your units w/o quick attacks is okay for 1700 years, by the time bombers roll around.......

Well, there's a list in the center of the screen of the damages done to your units. But it fades rather fast and you really need to pay attention to see all of it. It's not a very good method, so I'm also awaiting better alternatives.

I too have noticed the crazy load times for games since the recent update. My turn timers haven't gotten out of control though, and thankfully they seem to have fixed the worker interruption bug.

My favourite is when planes attack boats! For me, they don't just do one pass and fly away, they go around bombing the ship THREE times before they fly away! 40 minutes later and they're all done :hammer2:

Yeah I noticed that, however on my PC it fades away almost immediately. It occurs so fast I don't usually ever recall seeing it at all, I had hoped it would move that info somewhere I could see it later.
