Chieftain
I am not sure if there is a thread on this idea and I seem to remember something like this being done in a previous Civ iteration but not very well.
Could we not agree a number of things with an allied civ when we declare war together? For example, we could agree which cities we are going to attack and how many units we are going to use to invade the enemies territory.
Obviously the A1 could be programmed to keep its side of the bargain but I have no idea how you could deal with a human player.
It might be worth thinking through though. It would be great to attack a civ from one side knowing for certain that your ally was going to throw a major diversion in on the other side.
Both civs could suggest a plan from the normal diplomacy screen with available cities to attack and units showing. If the civ had a different plan to you, you could throw in some gold or whatever until they agreed to your plan or go with theirs for a sweetener.
Worth exploring?
