Minimize Game Screen

Does anyone know how to minimize game screen during play for all Civ games, including Sevo 3 Civ4, to check emails or look at other screens? Thanks

I use alt and tab works a treat. Although it takes a while for the screen to minimize. Pends on computer speed i guess and what ypou have running.

Near instant for me

But it practically crashes my friends computer, so yeah, results can vary.

I use alt-tab in civ4 and it works fine. Unlike a lot of games it's not disabled, and it doesn't seem to cause any instability issues either.

If your computer freezes from alt-tabbing its probably because your pc doesn't have enough ram or cpu power to get away with it, as alt-tabbing out of games is a bit of a dodgy process, and it puts a huge stress on both of those parts for a short while. Only really high spec pcs can alt-tab quickly out of a demanding program like civ.

I play the game in window mode, which is great for my computer. I have 2 monitors so I am always clicking to a new window.
