OK - I'm stumped. I was playing with my modded Alphax.txt last night trying to provide factions with early missle tech. So I dropped it way the hell down and set what I thought was correct codes.

BUT...every time I went to build my Colony Pod missle, it kept switching to Conventional Payload - ??

Any help would be appreciated...I'd like to make early missiles a possibility - not with Conventional Payloads (nukes) which I will leave for Orbital Tech, but ones with Lasers, or Probe Teams or Colony Pods...

Colony Missile
Controller: "OK Citizens! Chairman Yang thanks you for being volunteered to start a new city on the other side of Planet. Onto the Colony Rocket."
Citizen: "But good sir...it's...it's a missile. Won't we all be killed upon impact?"
Controller: "Do you doubt the science of the Party??!"
Citizen: *whimper* (as he boards the missile)

Wrong thread? He's in the whole wrong FORUM! Heck, the wrong board! I don't see any Alpha Centauri stuff anywhere at forums.civfanatics.com at all.

Oh crud!?!! How the heck did THAT happen?!?! Sorry...

Hey Mod - please delete this thread. Sorry for the infringement...

No, keep this thread. I approve. Even though I have no idea what your talking about. I expect the same from people who don't play Civilization I, they will have no idea when they read this forum.

Wow - if you've never played Alpha Centauri - you are really missing something uber-cool. I like sci-fi in general (which is why Civ III and Civ IV are so disappointing to me - I'd like to see some "official" packs of icons, tiles, etc. to build sci-fi scenarios such as the ones from Test of Time...).

AC had some really innovative stuff for its time. The cutscene movies are awesome, the atmosphere is spot-on, and the ability to create your own units on-the-fly using researched tech is cool as heck (32,000 possible units can be made...).

Anyhoo - thanks.

BTW - there are forums on this site - See ALL OTHER GAMES > ALPHA CENTAURI....
