Missing Tech Screen

So when i beging a new game or even load a previous game the tech screen is blank.
I can still reasearch techs but it is blank.
And sometimes when I start a new game the interface is gone

It seems only to happen with patch 3.17. I've reinstalled the game uninstalled then reinstalled the patch and still it's messed up. I've also uninstalled any mods but that doesn't work aswell.

Turn on Python exceptions in your Civilization 4 ini file, and report back with any python exception messages that get thrown (or report back if none get thrown, which I highly doubt, as this looks like a python error). Also double check to make sure there is nothing left in your custom assets folder, sometimes uninstalling will leave scraps behind there (don't know why), and an errant python file could be causing this.

So i tried that and it seems to be working but only when i removed the mod file for the better ship textures.

I'm going to try to see every map/civ just to see if that was the problem

Yeah, sounds like there was some conflicting python file left over in custom assets then.

Thanks a lot gonna keep trying different things maybe with that file again.
