Mixed up Art files

Hi All

I just posted this in the standard forum but I guess it really belongs here.

I have just purchased Conquests via the WEB (1.22). I have installed it, all went well. When I go to the main game screen the minmap, dialog boxes and buttons all have wierd backgrouds. I looked in the Art folder and the pcx files seem to be mixed up.

Has anyone else experienced this, can I download the standard Art files from somewhere.

Did you try and patch it? Patching those online bought games causes problems.

Actually, this is probably more a question for the tech support staff of the place where you bought it from. They had to tweak Conquests in order to get it to install over the web. Maybe that had something to do with it.

You do have Civ3 installed, right? Conquests needs Civ3 installed to run.

I have a working Civ III and Conquests works fine its just that you can't see the buttons and all the dialog boxes and minimap have a screwed up background. I have contacted their technical support but I hoped that someone else has had the problem and solved it.

Got the same problem.

If anybody with a working copy of C3C can do a "dir *.pcx /s > pcx.txt" under the conquests directory in a DOS Command Prompt window and post the pcx.txt file we could look at it and identify the correct pcx files based on file size. Anybody?
