Right, so I was going to go to war, so I mobilized my cities early to build up to it. Then things changed and I didn't want to go to war anymore so I wanted to cancel the call - but can I? Nope. Is there anyway at all to cancel mobilization and return to normalcy? I've tried renegiotiating peace with all other civs and still no joy - grrrrrr

Cheers,

AB

You can't go back to Normalcy until you've signed peace treaties with everyone you're at war with. When the last one is signed, you're automatticaly put back in Normalcy.

You see, that's my problem entirely. Seeing as I didn't go to war as intended, and am currently at peace with everyone there seems no way to get back to normalcy which is really really frustrating. I have tried renegiotiating peace just for the hell of it, and yet still no joy.

Any ideas would be welcome...

Cheers chaps,

The only way to get back to normalcy in this situation is to declare war and make peace :(

I think, in general, you have to be very careful with mobilizing for war. I've used it with great success, but I only use it after the war has started (or possibly when I'm 100% sure I'm gonna start the war) and only if I really need the extra production.
