Mod Component Concept: POWs

Ok, I'm don't know how to mod with lua so I probably couldn't make this. But my concept is that opon defeating a unit, you have a 15% chance of recieving a POW. These POWs would be able to stack with three other POWs and a Military unit. If a POW was not in a fort or if it didn't have a military unit on top of it, it would become an escapee for the civ it was captured from. It could then upgrade in to a military unit once it was in friendly territory. What do you think? Is it plausible?
 
I'm running into issues making my Municipal Engineer unit have defense and capturable... I beginning to think the <Capture> tag and any type of combat unit is mutually exclusive. :(

IF someone can figure this out, even if it's via lua, so be it, I can wait...

And I like the idea of POW units. :)
 
I think it will definetly have to be done with lua. I don't think you should get a POW every single time. I don't know much about lua, but I think that you can create some code which could check for unit kills and possibly give you a POW. Another tricky part will be getting the AI to use the POWs.
