mod request/help

i want to add several things to a fairly simple mod i want to make...
  1. Large world Map, bigger than Huge, and capable of supporting every Civ
  2. Hemp resource
  3. Cotton resource
  4. Tobbacco resourse
  5. Potato resource
  6. Shark Resource (similar to whale, but of lesser values)
  7. Squid resource (combines food and gold. similar to whale)

What exactly do you need help with? Creating the graphics for the new resources?

well... the first five are floating around here somewhere.
the other two would need to be made.

and i have several other ideas besides those...
example, the "Frigate" is renamed "Clipper" and a new unit is made, weaker than the destroyer and stronger than the ironclad. it would act as an anti-pirate ship blockade defense. it would gain a minor bonus against ships who are blockading. and it would protect trade routes.
 
Well, I've seen a squid unit on here (it was in a unit pack with several others, like camels and such), so you could probably use it as your squid resource; just use it's "idle" animations, and you've got a resource! As for a shark...I have no idea, and I can't model anything, sorry. :(

That new units sounds like a good idea, but aren't frigates pretty effective against pirates already? And I'm not sure about this, but giving it a bonus against ships that are blockading would probably require a fair bit of python (which again, sadly, I can't do!). I like the idea though, and I hope you find better help than me (pretty much all I can do is mod the XML files).
 
i can't do anything really.
not from a lack of trying mind you...
but due to the fact that my PC has horribly outdated hardware and none of the required programs to start modding.
