Mods I believe should be added to CCTP:
HNR- adds new resources to the game complete with art
Why- The new resources instigate extra trade between civs and provide more flavour to each civilization along with making it easier to add uses to buildings and policies.
Meaningful city state colours- makes a more intuitive correlation between city state colour and type
Why: Easy, simple UI mod that allows knowing what type of city state it is at first glance. Something that should have been included in the base game.
capture +: allows capture of great people spaceship parts, and other things.
Why- has the fact that you can only capture workers, settlers and religious units ever annoy you? This adds a whole new aspect of the game where if you are short on something you can pirate it from your neighbours, along with giving another use to under used mounted units.
greatest cities: adds a greatest cities ranking system
why- similar to the cultural capitals mod, this does very little to unbalance or change the game, just immerses the player in how some cities are more famed in civ like they were in history.
militia defence: militia units arise automatically to repel invasions
Why- Interesting little mod that adds to immersion with imbalanced. could also be integrated very well with some policies like nationalism and other, providing buffs or nerfs to it based on the policies. Again something else to work with.
global warming: adds a late game feature called global warming which has various effects.
Why-adds an interesting late game mechanic which requires you to be extra engaged in that time. will also add some more to work with, like giving ecomanagers abilities to work with or the ecomanagement policy tree.
bloublou's promotion expansion pack: adds many well done and balanced expansion to the game.
Why- More promotion equals more personalized units, which can be more personalized and requires more strategy.
aquatic fortresses: makes Great Admirals more useful by allowing them to make aquatic "citadels"
Why- GA's suck. this buffs them. enough said.
fortress borders: borders surround a fort
Why- Gives the game another mechanic. need yourself a little luxury resource? build a fort next to it, at the cost of upkeep. Need to spy on your neighbour? Put one there with a unit, you can get some extra warning before an attack. in later eras, perhaps planes can be stationed there.
military occupation: borders will surround units when they occupy enemy tiles.
why- more realistic, gives a sense of realism and war fronts like in real life.
historical generals: adds a great many more great general names
why- easy to add, adds a lot of variety.
Civ 4 diplomatic features: Revives a great deal of diplomatic features from civ 4.
Why- civ 5 diplomacy has been said to have been dumbed down. this helps greatly, forever changing your interactions with the AI
Obviously, all of these cannot be added, but I feel a great deal of these would add much to the game and make CCTP better. Please add any other mods you think would make CCTP better and discuss what I've posted below.
