I've read a lot of the suggestions posted here and I agree that many of them should be included in CIV4, and some of the them are down right necessary. I doubt however we'll get even reasonable number of them included in the same game, and I fear that while we may get some wanted new aspects in the coming release, we will get some unwanted as well and even lose some of the good "mechanics"/things already included in CIV3 - much like what has been going on with every new patch released: some new stuff is added while some stuff you were satisfied with is lost/("fixed" in an unfortunate manner).....it is never just better! (see also my thread: "Keep the game realistic...." in this forum)
I therefore suggest that Firaxis release a game pack (including obviously a number of cds) that includes as many of ideas posted here together with an engine that allows U to combine the aspects, or at least a great number of the aspects, U want to include in your game, e.g.: so U will able to include the ability to trade military units with other civs without losing the aspect of "pollution" or so that U can name all your units and still have "rioting" in the game, etc ("pollution" and "rioting" are two aspect which are appearently not going to be included in CIV4????!!).
This "patching" system will go a long way to satify "everyone". I for one will gladly pay a little extra to have such a thing.
