More info about black screen

For me, even though the terrain is all blacked out for the normal game, when I loaded the American Revolution Scenario, the entire map was revealed and wokring properly. I wonder if what the Firaxis tech support person told me about that problem being unfixable is true because everything works fine once it is reavealed.

Can't say I am overawed by graphics, but that is a whole seperate issue.
