More Modification Power

I want buttons in the editor than will remove all resources from the map, or all instances of one type of resource. Usually, if I'm writing a scenario, I have some idea of where I want at least of the resources to go, and it is a pain to scour the map removing each instance one at a time.

IF Civ IV does go to 3D it wont be as easy as it use to be to mod the game. Not only will meshes have to be created but animations, bone stuructures, etc etc etc.

But the artists at Firaxis and Breakaway had to do this already in Civ3 and Conquests.

Actually, it will take a step out of the process (assuming you've got the tools) because you could got right from the 3D models and skip the render to 2D step that they do now.

The only problem I have with the Civ3 editor is that players who want to add to their game cannot do so and still have an in-game record of how they're doing. Even doing something as innocent as making longer city lists will result in no score being generated in the HOF when the player has completed the game. Even saving changes as the default .bic, biq, or bix file doesn't let you use the Hall of Fame. Assuming Civ4 comes with a Hall of Fame feature, I'd love an option to make the game treat a set of rules as the game's default rules and record them in the HOF.

If this is covered in one of the other editor topics (I scanned them before, but didn't see anything), I apologize.

If its not 3D, I may not buy the game. 3D is the new generation, 2d is going out, sorry to say. Look at games like Rome: Total War, Civ4 will have to top Rtw, becuase if its less then an epic as rome total war is then it will be trash. The campaign map in RTW is 3D based and looks BEAUTIFUL, I am sure Civ4 can achieve something to that matter.

Check out gamsepot and look at a couple pictures, you will klnow what I mean.
