right I am getting to the point where I am going to smash this game up and burn the manual !!!!!!!!

i have got the in game movies turned off (not bothered about watching them) and the game was working a treat, installed 1.61 patch started playing and two turns into a saved game I finished off building the hanging gardens, the movie went to load ????? and crashed the game, in the CIV4.INI file the movies are set to off and the background movies are off yet it still tryed to load and crashed my game, any ideas please

i have never known a game with so many problems ! without this forum I would have smashed the cd up long ago

I think there is an option in the graphics config in the game for switching off the movies, perhaps this is ticked on. Seems abit silly to me to have two places where is option is now available.
