An exploit you can use against AIs: have two or more allies at the cost of one.
That's how, buy alliances with weaker/low tech civs. Watch if they get in MPPs with anyone, specially big civs.
Once they do, go for a city you can easily take from your enemy, but also easily retakeable by it. Give to your MPPed allies. :evil:
Repeat.
Don't know if this exploit is new, but go for it.
 
It is too complicated (take City, give City), if AIs have MPP chain you may brake it. Make MPP with somebody in the middle of the chain next to yor opponent, it is enough if you opponent at the end of MPP cain, then just declare war and wait when he (or she) atack you. I put defenless worker, to be sure, AI cant resist not to capture worker. Then YOU will be victim of agression and MPPs will work for you. Watch AI turns, to be sure thet chain reaction goes in right way (there is platny of posibilities depending of troops/land configuration an AIs order in turns...), If you lucky all chain will be yours next turn, but for sure, you may have to wait one more turn before you start you agression.
