hi
thank you for big maps.
the other changes do not really change the way we play the game in my opinion.
yeah ok we have more freedom when it comes to victory that is nice i guess
i think influence is generally a broken system.
sometimes you never do wars but get declard wars left and right. since we have a city limit it kind of forces you to raze enemy cities. all good. the problem is that at some point you will have negative influence. while in civ 6 negative victory points just ment you have no say in the united nations...which made perfectly sense in civ 7 you can't do any dimplomacy then. not even with people you meet later. not even with your allies that maybe even helped you in the war. you cant do trade or research agreements with them any longer etc. i think influence should NEVER be negative. even a country like russia can conduct diplomacy despite many world leaders do not like their actions. which is totally fine! but in civ you can't. you can't incorporate your city states... you cant talk to your allies you can't talk to new civs... its weird!
what would make sense is that infleunce cost with countries you were at war or have grifances go up. sure. even to the point you can't talk to those. BUT we should still get influence to talk with others. of course as a warmonger costs will be higher with everyone since you get griefances and thats fine but it would still be possible if you focus on influence.
also i think we should be able to fight over who is suzerain of a city state like this they are pretty useless. you get the initial bonus cool nice but thats it. also those are kind of strong. a free tec each time you convert one? ok its only like 3 techs but since you can't influence the timing it sometimes is only 3 turns of research. a passive research bonus like civ 6 was more ideal i think, also the ability to levy them made them more strategic. incorporate them normally does not happen ...because of negative influence.
faith changes are nice.
combat always was nice but tbh why does my general loose all movement when i use the unload all button???? when i unload them 1 by 1 he can still do actions like attack with everyone. it forces a lot of unnescessary clicks. just make it so unload all needs no movement points like unload one by one.
and last but not least i think we should still be able to build wonders from old ages ;D if no one built them.
