"MSXML 4.0 Not Properly Installed"

I just installed the game, and reinstalled it, and I get this error message every time. I have Windows SP2, and from what I gather it scrapped MSXML 4.0.

I tried installing MSXML 4.0 from the .msi available from Microsoft's website, but it still doesn't work, same error message, and I even tried installing MSXML 4.0 from the CD, it has it in the Redist folder, which I should figure makes the MSXML required to run the game; but it *STILL* doesn't work!

If anybody can help me stomp this out (in simpleton's terms, I'm really not a computer geek) it would be very helpful.

Did you install MSXML 4.0 with SP2 and Parser? I think the file is MSXML4 SP2 SDK and Parser or something like that.

Yeah, I installed everything related to MSXML 4.0 from Microsoft's website. I also installed MSXML from the Rise of Nations CD. In addition, I made sure to install the "SDK" (whatever that is) from Microsoft's .msi, so that isn't the problem, either.

Interesting problem.

It sounded similar to the problem I was having with MathCAD 13.1, but downloading the SDK and the Parser seemed to solve the problem.

Sorry, not sure what else to suggest myself.

I've had this problem before, if you have another drive, install it through there.
