My friend and I like to play C3C multiplayer coop versus the AI. Is there a way to end the game in something like an "allegiance victory" so that we don't have to fight each other to end the game after the AI is destroyed?

We did the Diplomatic Victory once but this only allows a single winner. The elected player is presented as the winner where as the voters are presented as losers.

There cannot be multiple winners. You could play until 2050 and have a histograph winner or someone win by spaceship. Then you don't have to fight.

In light of what was just posted, I don't undertsand Diplomatic Victory. What is the point? Why does the AI "give-in" and vote to lose?

Do human players vote to lose by electing another human player to win? Why? Just to end the game? If this is the case, then why does the AI vote another player? The AI doesn't care if the game lasts forever.

In WWII in Pacific it is possible if you both play as allies.

For exact definition on Diplomatic victory check the manual. I know it has to do with building the United Nations wonder and then something happens and someone wins. Your welcome for being specific.

Because it's programmed that way to allow a victory to someone. Either the human player or another AI. The AI doesn't know anything about "giving in" - it just does what it's programmed to do.

Civ isn't designed for "teamwork" between two human players (or two AI's for that matter). Human players should vote for themselves unless they want to lose. Unlikely. The AI's are programmed to vote for a)themselves if they're on the ballot, or, b) another civ (human or AI) that it's on good terms with.
