So I've been playing C4 with two of my friends for a long time and we recently discovered FFH2. Unfortunately we're having a lot more problems getting games going than we ever have before.

My two friends live together and are working from the same router. When I'm hosting the game they usually can connect to me, but when I launch the game they both get kicked out. I think this has something to do with my connection, but I can't be sure. Afterward there's a strong chance that they won't be able to reconnect. In particular, I get a lot of "contacting peer" problems with my one friend, but not the other. Sometimes we'll get stuck in the contacting host loop. Usually after we get this problem we can't connect to anybody. Occasionally the game works when my one friend hosts a game, then I join, then she joins, but not always.

We're both not behind firewalls and can play BTS without much incident. Any input on how we might be able to solve all of this would be greatly appreciated.

When we did the direct IP we had the opposite problem. She could connect, but he couldn't. It was strange.

It was working an hour ago. We all got into a game in the lobby and went to launch. We all froze at finishing. After that we couldn't even get back into the same lobby. Two of us could get into the same game, but it refused to launch. I heard that GameSpy might have been having issues, but this is frustrating.

We're not big fans of Hamachi. Is there any other clients/solutions that might help?
