I've been reading through the forums now and again since Civ5 came out, and my missus and I enjoy playing LAN games against the AIs. She grades papers or paints in between turns, and I get a chance to read or scheme. We've noticed a few odds and ends, and have a few questions about Civ5. I haven't seen answers to some of these questions, and may have overlooked them elsewhere in the forums, so I would appreciate answers or redirects to the threads that have those answers.

1) Do embarked Great Generals / Khans still give their bonuses?

2) Is there any way to prevent the computer from taking a turn for me when I have to drop and rejoin?

3) Anyone else ever seen a caravel wind up many hexes inland?

4) Do allied wonders give me any bonuses what-so-ever?

5) Anyone else have to click a unit multiple times to get it's attention? (I keep expecting to hear a Warcraft II bleat of exploding sheep, now and again.)

6) Is there any way to get city states to recognize team bribes? It seems odd there is a united AI response to war against a team, but city states can exist in a sort of Schrodinger state of 'hate you / love them' for a team.

7) Why is the terrain adjacent to the Rock of Gibralter always impassable -- even if it's grassland?

8) When circumnavigating the world, why does my teammate always get the credit?

9) Is there a way to flag disconnects? Several times I'll hear my missus say, "Ooh, good job on [x]!" only to find out that we've been disconnected, and are now playing two separate games, for a thousand years..!

10) Upon reload, multiplayer save games always show Prince (regardless of what we started the game out as), and no special situations (such as our preferred 'raging barbarians'). Is this just a display issue, or is it really resetting us to Prince? (I do still see barbarians after a load -- but not always; sometimes, they disappear. That could have been a few patches ago, though.)

11) Anyone else occasionally have invisible cities? All indicators point to a city, but there's no graphic to indicate even an outhouse at that location!

12) Is there anyway to get allies to start next to one another? We always seem to wind up on separate continents or on the other side of Pangea...

13) Ooh, and do teammate Great Generals / Khans count towards our military forces?

14) Or, for that matter, adjacent units count towards bonus stacks?

1. Yes
2. Load the game from an autosave instead of rejoin
3. Not me.
4. Only ones that give your team science.
5. Sometimes units are non-responsive to me as well, and can only be clicked after doing something else (like opening a city window or the menu).
6. I doubt it. This probably needs to be patched.
7. Its actually an invisible mountain. Not sure why its graphics glitched to grassland.
8. No idea
9. Um watch if your teammate is playing like an AI I guess. Its supposed to pop up the loading screen but I've seen it not before as well.
10. I believe it is a display issue. Mine usually says Inland Sea/Epic in the reload screeneven when it was created as Pangaea/Small initially. If you want to make sure, save a turn 0 deity game and play from there, and see how the AIs do.
11. Haven't seen this.
12. The maps West vs East and North vs South have some options for this.
13. No. You might try gifting GG/khan, or gifting military so that it does.
14. If you mean the 10% bonus from discipline, no. If you mean the 10% bonus from flanking, yes it does stack. A complete surround from 6 hexes will give all 6 units a 50% bonus. A teammates units can contribute to flanking bonus.

Danke, Smote.
