Multiple strikes at once not possible with bomber

Tiny little bug:

When I select multiple bombers and I want to bomb a square, they fly out together. When I select airstrike, only one will fly out. When I want to airstrike again, I can't, because one of the selected bombers has already had its airstrike. Bottomline: I can't do multiple strikes at once, I have to do them one by one. Multiple bombings at once are fine though.

I have only tested this with regular bombers.

in the game options, check "stack attack" - at least according to the manual, that should do what you want to do.

When you select a unit, you see all units in that tile in the bottom of your screen. The selected unit has a yellow border. If you select other units while holding SHIFT, you can select whichever units at once (I guess that's the stack attack you are talking about).

When I have selected multiple bombers (one, some or all highlighted), I can do a single bombing run with let's say 5 bombers at once and they will fly a different path (some will veer off to the left, others to the right), which is a pretty cool effect by the way. When the bombing run is done, the little green dot in the top-right corner of the highlighted unit is red (which means 'has moved').

When I order an airstrike ('S') though, only one bomber moves. When that bomber is done, just one of all selected bombers has a red dot, the others are still green.

yes, and the trick is to use your SHIFT again to deselect the red one...then you can use the others...but bisically you're right..it makes more sence to use them just one by one...dunno why firaxis downgraded abilities on airforces and artillery...maybe they thought there were to many options in civ3...or maybe they were just too lazy to implement some handy civ3 features in civ4..the game itself is an improve though..but they definitly need to overlook airforces and artillery...apropos airforce...when i bomb a city, i bomb the units down to 90%..next time the regenerate to 94%, next bomb run..86%....90%....80%...86%...78%...etc, WHY CANT I AUTOBOMB like in civ3???? every turn manually do everything myself?? and they call that an improvement??? HAhahahah, oh no, it's nothing to laugh..its sad firaxis improved gameperformance, graphics, add some options like UN wonder and Religion(which is bisically of no use actually, dunno why the reviewers are so happy with it) main thing is the upgrading units options...wow, mostly, your units are long dead before you maxed them up...so, no real use anyway..and besides..i do notice some improvement of the upgrades..though, basically, effects are minimal, max 30% effect increase, with random numbers i still can loose a maxed tank from a newbie tank..this is a huge failure in the experience system..i didnt see in real battle a highly trained squadron loose from some rookies not able to handle things..and the're alot of armies of NATO in the area where i live so i do see alot of battletanks..especially here in the eifel in germany..anyway, the IDEA is awesome :) they just need to tweak it some to make it more usefull :) now it's cheaper to buy a new unit instead of upgrading it to keep it's exp :) it's not worth the upgrading :) well..maybe in some cases...i don't wanna fight about it...but what's real frustrating..they disabled allllll the options of arial combat, artillery, naval, etc etc..they should have used the same options as in civ3..added to that automatically reconaissance..so i can put a ROUTE of PATROL to a fighter and it checks this area automatically each turn, with the options for me, so patrol passiv, or agressiv(meaning, attack the enemie on sight)...where it would also be usefull to use different bombs..like torpedos, enabling fighters to attack from range 2, stay outside of airial defense..but a risk of hitting of only 10% or so...there could be so much more in the game..but firaxis lacks of inspiration, they dont have people with ideas...and that's bad :( but anyway, they have good programmers who can program a fast good performing interface...now we need to wait for the modders to enable options as i described above :)
